It all started when...

In 1996 while on a mission trip in Brazil, Dan and Karen Blankenship had a dream to provide hospitality for missionaries who were home on furlough and raising support.  That summer they purchased the 100 year old James West Harrelson home in Belton, Missouri, and began the process of restoration.  For the past 20 years, they have provided hospitality to over 200 missionary families from around the world.  With a heart for missions, Dan has lead over 20 mission trips which have included the Philippines, Russia, Peru, Bahamas and Mexico as well as trips in the US which have included Chicago’s Pacific Garden Mission, South Asian Friendship Center in Chicago and disaster relief to New Orleans, Missouri and Oklahoma.  In 2013 Dan partnered with LifeQuest Church and started a ministry called SERVE OUR CITY which provides help for those needing ‘handy man’ assistance.
